The European ADR Agreement has established 13 classes of dangerous substances from the point of view of transport. When we say dangerous goods, we mean substances and objects which, by their physico-chemical nature, could cause damage to persons and/or the environment.
We list some of these substances: substances and explosive objects, gases, flammable liquids, flammable solids, spontaneously flammable substances, organic peroxides, toxic substances, infectious substances, corrosive substances.
How are ADR dangerous goods transported?
According to the rules of the European Agreement concerning the Carriage of Dangerous Goods (ADR), a motor vehicle carrying dangerous goods must be fitted with protective equipment.
SCHNEIDER FREIGHT, through its accredited partners, provides you with vehicles that meet all the conditions required to carry out ADR goods transport, equipped in accordance with legal standards.
The vehicles have distinctive identification signs – orange reflective plates specific to the transport of dangerous goods.
The driver carries the ADR kit containing: reflective vest – fluorescent, goggles, gloves, apron, protective boots, gas mask, protective filter, safety helmet, portable flashlight. The vehicles are also equipped with fire extinguishers and warning triangles for protection.
